About Ayanna Kannan's Fundraiser

Ayanna Kanan is an apprentice dancer with Leela Dance Collective. She began studying kathak at the age of 5. She has trained under several of Pt. Chitresh Das' senior disciples including Seibi Lee, Rachna Nivas and Rukhmani Mehta. She danced with the Chhandam Youth Dance Company from 2009-2012. Ayanna is passionate about teaching and mentoring young girls and women in the art of kathak dance.
